Stanley W. Cieslak, 91, a lifelong area resident passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Faxton – St. Luke's Healthcare after a brief illness.
He was born in Utica on December 4, 1926 the son of Walter and Agatha Cieslak and attended local schools. On September 4, 1948 he married Helen Dudziak in Holy Trinity Church; a loving union of 70 years. Stanley was retired from Frederick Air Conditioning. He was a member of the Church of the Sacred Heart St. Mary Our Lady of Czestochowa, New York Mills.
Stan was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing the Adirondacks.
His survivors include his beloved wife Helen of Yorkville; two sons and their spouses, Michael and Wendy Cieslak of New Mexico and Paul and Pauline Cieslak of Marcy; also his grandchildren Valerie, Alexandra, Jacqueline and Linda. He was pre-deceased be his several siblings.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Friday at 1pm at the Church of the Sacred Heart St. Mary Our Lady of Czestochowa. Those that wish may call on Thursday (today) from 4 until 6pm at the Kowalczyk Funeral Home, 284 Main St. New York Mills. Burial will take place in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
